The best machine of it's kind on the market, the Concept II provides an excellent aerobic workout, allows you to exercise all the major muscle groups, builds heart and lung capacity and is extremely effective for anyone interested in achieving weight loss in a sensible, controlled fashion. We have three machines, two are used in the main hall for our regular programme of exercise and the other is available in the Aerobic Room for members to use at their leisure whenever the Centre is open.

This is a 'state of the art' running machine, which allows you to walk, jog or run, at speeds up to 16 MPH on the flat or at variable gradients up to 25 degrees. During programmed activities we use the treadmill for short burst of activity to exercise the heart and lungs and to improve and perfect running style. At the weekends it is available to members who wish to practise their distance running.

Manufactured by Powersport International, this is an extremely effective yet simple exercise bicycle, which allows you to exercise legs, heart and lungs without placing stress on joints. It is based on a simple fan principle, which generates increasing resistance depending on the level of your effort. The harder you work the harder the bike resists. (Many parents will recognise this fundamental law of physics!)

Another excellent machine designed and built by Powersport. The stepper allows you to work at your own pace to strengthen calves, thigh and ankles and to build heart and lung capacity. As with the Airbike resistance increases as work rate increases.
