KEEPING IN SHAPE is a Fitness Centre with a difference.

It offers structured, organised and an almost limitless variety of carefully designed exercise programmes to it's members in a class situation, whilst also offering the opportunity to access the facilities on an individual and casual basis every Saturday and Sunday of the year.

Members will find a wide range of high quality fitness equipment manufactured by leading suppliers; all of it safe, non-threatening, rewarding and easy to use.

KEEPING IN SHAPE is a tried and tested weight-training system which has been running successfully since 1984.

At Keeping in Shape each session has a common structure designed to give customers maximum benefit from their time.

Each session comprises:
  • A group warm-up lasting 5-10 minutes.
  • An organised group exercise circuit lasting 20, 35 or 45 minutes.
  • A group warm-down lasting 5-10 minutes.

Each session is carefully designed to ensure a balanced workout for the whole body.

After each session you will feel:
  • Tired and invigorated. (As your fitness level increases you will find that your recovery rate increases.)
  • That you have exercised your heart and lungs strenuously.
  • That you have exercised all the major muscle groups effectively.
  • That you have exercised other muscle groups that you may not have known you had!

And, most important of all, you will be looking forward to your next session.
